A promising alternative for power generation
Generating electricity without flooding, close to consumption centers and with higher capacity and quality
Hydrokinetics
Hydrokinetic energy harnesses the kinetic potential of rivers and oceans and is emerging as one of the most promising alternatives for electricity generation. Unlike traditional hydropower, it does not require flooding large areas and enables power generation close to urban centers.
Hydrokinetic turbines operate on similar principles as wind turbines, but they produce more reliable, cleaner, and higher-quality electricity. Their environmental and economic advantages are amplified when multiple units are installed in turbine “farms.”

Hydrokinetic turbines outperform wind turbines because they are exposed to greater forces over longer periods. Water is 800 times denser than air and its flow is significantly more consistent and predictable than wind.
